Teri Murtha, PMHNP, CNS-BC
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Teri is a graduate of the Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist program at the University of Maryland, School of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland. She has over 19 years experience ranging from addictions, mental health, cardiology, research, and education.
Teri has been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and has co-lead groups utilizing DBT. Furthermore, Teri received her certificate of Advanced Trauma Treatment – Level One through the Advanced Psychotherapy Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.
In addition, she has a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing as an Adult Clinical Specialist. She has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Teri is also experienced in adult population medical care and has been an adjunct professor at both Johns Hopkins University and Towson University.
